Kaamos (“Polar Night”) is a unique design art rug, hand-crafted by Kutomo Rasinmäki. It is part of The Heritage Collection, an exclusive collaboration between Finarte and Kutomo Rasinmäki. Inspired by a winter day and the deepening evening light, Kaamos features a lively grey-brown base woven beneath black and white patterns. The piece reflects the quiet beauty and subtle transitions of northern light during the darkest season of the year.
Designed by Eija Rasinmäki, co-founder of Finarte, each piece in the collection is a truly unique art textile, with only one piece available. Every work is handmade in Oitti, Finland, using traditional Finnish weaving methods, recycled and natural materials.
